The source of “Cantata” is the manuscript of the score Mus. F. 1152, (M0008916612}, Biblioteca Estense Universitaria di Modena, online available at Internet culturale. Caption title: “Cantata à 2 Soprani / con VV. 2 Viole / del Sig.r Aless[andr]o Stradella”. Regarding the title of the Cantata, I preferred the "dolci modi" version over the more used "dolci nodi" version, both for the spelling and for the meaning of the sentence.

The source of “Cantata” is the manuscript of the score Mus. F. 1152 and Mus. G. 210_2, Biblioteca Estense Universitaria di Modena, online available at Internet culturale. Since page 11r is missing in the manuscript, the notes were reconstructed properly and the lyrics were arranged coherently. As soon as Internet culturale will correct the mistake, I will publish a new version of the cantata.

G. 210_2, Biblioteca Estense Universitaria di Modena, included in a collection of 6 sonatas, Mus. G. 210 of the same library. Caption title: “Sinfonie/ del Sig.r Alessandro Stradella”.
The source is the manuscript Mus. MO008916382 included in a collection of 12 sonatas, Mus. MO0089, Biblioteca Estense Universitaria di Modena. Caption title: “Dodici Sinfonie a più VV.ni... , con B. C”.

The source of “Serenata a 3” [1660] is ms TO0265, Foà 14, Biblioteca Nazionale Universitaria di Torino. Caption title: “Serenata à 3. [Del Sig.r Alless.o Stradella - aggiunta successiva] / Concertino del p.º Cocchio / Concerto grosso di Viole / 2.º Cocchio”. The publication includes: the initial “Sinfonia” (version 1.0 of this Sinfonia was published on April 10, 2007), the “Sinfonia concertata con il Concertino della Dama delli 2 Violini & li Cocchi sonano tutti insieme con parti replicate”, fhe following aria “Mio petto inerme”, the recitativo-arioso with instruments ”Del valor donnesco” and a “Concerto solo di Viole”. These last numbers were published on October 23, 2007.
The sources are two different copies, named "Sinfonia" and "Sonata", of the same music: ms. TO0265419, Biblioteca Universitaria di Torino - Fondo Foà Giordano, orchestrated with Violini and Cornetti and ms Mus. MO0089, Biblioteca Estense Universitaria di Modena, with the header “Dodici Sinfonie a più VV.ni... , con B. C.”. The Modena Sinfonia has the caption title “[Sinfonia n.] 1. Violini e Bassi, a Due Concertini Distinti”, and it refers to the first number of this publication. The Torino Sonata has the caption title “Sonata à 4 Due Violini, e Due Cornetti divisi in due Chori”, and it refers to the second number of this publication.
The sources are ms Mus. F. 1146, Biblioteca Estense Universitaria di Modena and a ms from Biblioteca Universitaria di Torino - Fondo Foà Giordano - ms TO0265197. The Modena ms reports in the first page of the score the script “... l'ultima delle sue Sinfonie”. The same ms, before the second Sinfonia, has the script: “Seconda Parte. / Sinfonia avanti / Violini: Cornetto, ò Tromba / Tutti i V.V. / all'Unissono / Bassi con Tromboni suonano”. The Torino ms includes some dynamic suggestions and bass figures, possibly added by a later hand.
Source is ms TO0265, Foà 14, Biblioteca Nazionale Universitaria, Torino. Caption title: “Serenata à 4 con Strom.ti Vola vola in altri petti Del
sig.r Alessandro Stradella”. From this Serenata the editor transcribed the initial instrumental piece named “Sinfonia”, an intermediate instrumental piece named “Sinfonia - Balletto” and the last piece in 6/8 named “Sinfonia”.

TO0265419 p.69 [1660], Biblioteca Universitaria di Torino - Fondo Foà Giordano: “Sonata di viole - Concertino di due violini e leuto - Concerto grosso di viole”, and ms Mus. MO0089, Biblioteca Estense Universitaria di Modena, with caption title “Dodici Sinfonie a più VV.ni... , con B. C.”. The Modena Sinfonia has the caption title “[Sinfonia n.] 2. Violini e Bassi, a Concertino e Concerto grosso distinti”, and it refers to the second “Sinfonia” of this collection.
The source is ms. Mus. F. 1156, Biblioteca Estense Universitaria, Modena. Caption title: “Lo Schiavo / Liberato / Serenata, ò Accademia / con gli Istromenti. / Parole del Sig.re Sebastiano Baldini. / Musica del Sig.re Al[essan]dro Stradella / Sinfonia avanti”.
The sources are two ms. of the score from Serenata “Il Damone”: ms. TO026518600, Biblioteca Universitaria di Torino - Fondo Foà Giordano. In 7 parts and ms. Mus. MO0089, Biblioteca Estense Universitaria di Modena, with caption title: “Dodici Sinfonie a più VV.ni... , con B. C.”. The Modena “Sinfonia” has caption title: “Prima Sinf.a Grossa del Concerto delle Viole con le parti del Concertino Replicate”. This second ms. has a shorter first movement and a second completely different movement in 3/8.
Source is ms Mus. F. 1145 of the score, Biblioteca Estense Universitaria, Modena. Caption title: “Cantata à 6. Con i Stromenti / Per il Santis:mo Natale / Del Sig.r Alesandro Stradella.”
