You may be right, but both sources name the first part "Flauto traverso" (Rostock) and "Traversa" (Dresden). So why not consider a traversa in g?

Since the lowest note of the traverso in this piece is g, can we suppose that the part is written for the alto recorder in g?

Playing through the part on both recorder and traverso, this certainly feels much more like a traverso part than recorder. It's quite low on recorder, which is often written in a higher range. The highest note is a 'D' which is the standard top note of traverso parts of the period. Hope that helps.
