The string parts in bass clef are original: this means that the parts should be played in the lowest octave of violin. In more récent publications I avoid this additional effort for violinists, transcribing the bass parts in violin clef.

Dear Mario, we were in contact some years ago, hope you are well in this tragedy Italy suffers from. I have a question cocncerning the 4th movement of this concerto: The violin parts are in bass-clef - but this is lower than a violin can play? Is this a mistake or just like it is in the original source? All best Peter
